IIS CHRISTMAS AT RED BRIDGE
IPs the days before Christmas and throughout
RED BRIDGE STABLES, All our creatures are stirring— fearing snow to the gables.
The OCTOBER SALE over— we all gave a cheer! And now hoping the SPRING SALE soon will be here.
Our WALKERS are nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of WINNING dance in their heads.
And PART KIRK in his boots, and JIM FOSTER in
coat. Look them all over and just have to gloat.
When down in the STALLS, they hear such a clatter, They race from their coffee to see what is the matter.
Away to BAY WITCH they do make a dash— They find he ' s O. K.— now that one ' s a FLASH.
SON ' S TIM TAM is gazing out on the snow, What a WALKER he is, he ' s just born to SHOW.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear, But a minature sleigh with ' 66 COLTS— they are dear.
With a mustached driver so lively and zaney, They knew in a moment it must be DOC BANEY.
More rapid than eagles our WALKERS they came. And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
“ Now, EBONY ' S GO BOY! Now, SECRET ' S SPRITE! Now, BLUE SECRET and SECRET ' S MERRY
KNIGH! ON, SECRET ' S SHOW BOY! On, SECRET ' S BELLE! On GO BOY ' S HEIRESS and SECRET ' S BOMB-
' SHELL!"
“ To the top of the roof to the top of the STALL, Now, dash away. Dash away! Dash away, all!"

And then in a twinkling they heard on the roof The unmistakable prace o fa real WALKER ' S HOOF.
As they drew in their heads and were turning around... Down from the roof DOC came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur from head to his foot, And a bundle of PRIZES were peeping out from the loot.
His exes _ how they twinkled! His dimples— how merry! As he paused to greet our SUN ' S BLUE FAIRY.
His droll Utile mouth was drawn up like a bow, And he gave a quick pat to SUN ' S GLORY O.
As he raced around he looked like a twister, And dropped off a PRIZE for SETTING SUN ' S
SISTER.
He hurried along to MELODY ' S GINGER ALLEN, Dumping out OATS— it must be 10 gallon!
He was chubby and plump on a right jolly mission When he bestowed a PRIZE on JULIA ALLEN
WILSON.
A wink of his eye, a reach in his pocket And out with ' a PRIZE for CIRCLE T. JET ROCKET.
He spoke not a word but went straight to all STALLS, And delighted WHINNIES soon filled the halls.
To LADY OF MIDNIGHT he moved with a whirl, PRIuES for all— POLLY BLAINE and BLACK
MERRY GIRL.
While stopping to pet all friendly noses. To our MIDNIGHT SECRET he presented
CHAMPION ROSES.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down, of a thistle.
But they heard him exclaim ere he drove into the night,“ HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND ALL FRIENDS
OUT OF SIGHT!"
