MARE WITH A TIME-TABLE HAS ANNUAL FOALING DATE
Mr. BARNETTE WELSH of Tullahoma, Tennessee, called to give us a bit of news about a mare with a time-table. Vickie Wilson M., a mare owned by Mr. G. O. " PETE” JONES of the G, H & W Stables of Tullahoma, had set somewhat of a record for foaling. For the past three years, this outstanding mare has foaled on March 16th. According to her breeding records she has been scheduled for February 26th, but insists on March 16th- between the hours of 6 and 7 AM.
She has produced a filly named G. O.’ s Go Girl, now a two-year-old; a stud colt named Shadow’ s Paladin, now a yearling; and has just given birth to Shadow’ s Gaye, another filly. Vickie Wilson is a sixyear-old mare by Sun’ s Jet Parade. She will be bred back as usual. We will see you next March 16, Mr. Jones!
