MARE WITH A TIME-TABLE HAS ANNUAL FOALING DATE
Mr . BARNETTE WELSH of Tullahoma , Tennessee , called to give us a bit of news about a mare with a time-table . Vickie Wilson M ., a mare owned by Mr . G . O . " PETE ” JONES of the G , H & W Stables of Tullahoma , had set somewhat of a record for foaling . For the past three years , this outstanding mare has foaled on March 16th . According to her breeding records she has been scheduled for February 26th , but insists on March 16th - between the hours of 6 and 7 AM .
She has produced a filly named G . O .’ s Go Girl , now a two-year-old ; a stud colt named Shadow ’ s Paladin , now a yearling ; and has just given birth to Shadow ’ s Gaye , another filly . Vickie Wilson is a sixyear-old mare by Sun ’ s Jet Parade . She will be bred back as usual . We will see you next March 16 , Mr . Jones !
