test. As expected, Royal Heir needs a lot of work with Steve in the saddle and only time will tell how they are going to get along. Steve has tried him out sparingly in the show ring so far this year. He has won two blues and as Steve puts it, " we really haven’ t pushed him yet.” With three big months to go, it can be assumed that every morning just about dawn an experienced Walking Horse trainer from over in Beech Grove, Tennessee will climb in the saddle of a wide-awake horse with " go yonder” ambitions and, as the sun breaks over the rolling hills and they head back to the barn, they will both be one step closer to those Championship honors.
Go Boy’ s Royal Heir is now owned by Mrs. DWAIN M. CLARK of Beverly Hills, California, and Mr. W. M. DUNCAN of Iverness, Mississippi, both well-known personalities in the Walking Horse business. other horses plus an undetermined amount of cash for half of Royal Heir several months ago in a transaction with the previous owner, HANK SHEELY of Dallas, Texas. The horse was moved to Steve Hill’ s stable at that time and soon thereafter Mr. Duncan purchased the otherhalf of him.
The details of what was paid for this horse are not known but we have reason to believe that he is one of the top-priced horses of the breed at this time. And he is rated as being worth every penny!

By Merry Boy, out of Merry Marquita, who was by Sir MauGray out of Straus’ Merry Maid by Merry Boy, Go Boy’ s Royal Heir carries the blood of champions in his veins. If all the most desirable traits of his ancestry were to be outlined specifically and combined into one great horse... Go Boy’ s Royal Heir would be the outcome. He is a credit to the Tennessee Walking Horse breed and if he should wear the roses in 1965 he would be a most honorable representative of Tennessee’ s fabulous Walking Horse tradition.
