CALICO FARMS IN CINCINNATI IS SIX DEEP
IN TOP SHOW MATERIAL FOR 1965 SEASON
Leading off is Mr. Calico, who has to be ranked as one of the best geldings
showing today and who is a real tribute to the Mack K blood line. He is un
defeated so far this year.
Next is Go Boy's May Girl who is also undefeated in 1965 and has captured
the plum of the Greater Cincinnati Horse Show by winning the Grand Champ
ionship Stake.
Following is Mrs. Kroll's Walking Mathilda who also is undefeated in 1965.
These three horses have at this reading won six blue ribbons which include
three stake classes.
Behind these three is Mrs. Kroll's new gelding's full sister. Millionaire, which,
its first time in the show ring in Cincinnati, tied third in seasoned competition.
(I) MACK K’S MR. CALICO, Willard Ten-

penny up. 1965 Winner of the Stallion and
Gelding Class at Cincinnati, and the Stallion
and Gelding Stake at Circleville, Ohio.
(2) GO BOY'S MAY GIRL, Willard Ten-
penny up. 1965 Winner of both Mare and
Stoke Classes at Cincinnati, and the Mare
Class at Chillicothe, Ohio.
(3) WALKING MATHILDA, Jacqueline Kroll
up. 1965 Winner of the Ladies Stake at the
Greater Cincinnati Horse Show, Cincinnati
Ohio.
Willard Tenpenny has a four-year-old, Roger's Go Boy, with the speed of
lightning which has not been shown yet, plus a four-year-old mare that is a
full sister to Mr. Calico and should keep up with her brother when she starts
to hit the show ring.
Now, the strong bench consists of a three-year-old Go Boy stud loaded for
bear, plus a three-year-old full sister to Mr. Calico with the same form as he;
and, in addition, a bay stud by Go Boy that can't miss being a top stake horse.
While the Krolls have spent five years collecting this fine material, it goes
without saying that unless you have a trainer of the class and quality of the
best, then the excellent material loses its potential. However, this is not the
case for CALICO FARMS, for in Willard Tenpenny, their trainer, lies the crafts
manship of one of the world'sfinesttrainersand professionals in the show busi
ness today. Without a doubt he is a real tribute to the Walking Horse world.
CALICO has just had two new additions, one being a pure black stud colt by
Midnight Pleasure RG out of a Mack K- Midnight Sun mare. The other is a fine
red chestnut by Go Boy's Rock 'n Roll out of the same Midnight Sun mare that
has produced so many fine foals for CALICO, including the top gelding, Mack
K'sMr. Calico.
