BOY mares and a WILSON AL LEN mare . These and their LAST CHANCE mares , bred to MIGHTY SUN , should produce future champions . MIGHTY SUN ' S first colt . MIGHTY SUN ’ S STARLET , a seal brown filly with a star , was a winner in halter classes . Put in training last winter , she soon showed her sire ’ s big lick and show ' horse ways . The Lewises turned down a fancy price for her . Just before the Celebration , she suffered an injury to her right leg and -was not shown . Fully recovered , she will soon be put back in training .
MIDNIGHT HONEY BOY , the Lewises good bay gelding , was shown twenty-five times last season and won twenty-three ribbons . He is taking a long winter rest but will be ready for amateur classes by show time . Their two fillies which are two year olds by MIGHTY SUN are causing quite a comment among horsemen . Well broke and with their first show shoes on now , they confirm their sires ability to pass on his front end and big lick .
The Lewises have also been very successful in raising and campaigning Irish Setter field dogs , having won seven Championships at the National Red Setter Trails since 1.960 . During the hunting and field trial season , the Lewis horses get scant attention , but as soon as the Spring Trails are over , the dogs take second place and the horses go to work .
