CLASS 1- TWO-YEAR-OLD WALKING FILLIES
Jimmy Waddell won his fourth World’ s Championship on two year old Walking Fillies by capturing the blue ribbon as well as the fancy of record-breaking first night crowd, on PERFECTION ' S SHADOW S. Close behind was the highly touted EBONY’ S BLACK LADY, ridden by Russell Pate who tied second in one of the
greatest Walking Filly Classes ever assembled. Black was the color of the top
three in this class and Doug Wolaver’ s colt was no exception. Riding HAND SHAKER ' S K to tie third, Doug, as usual, made it a good show all the way. The fillies in this class were considered the hardest to tie in years.
