season. Bob Blaine, president of the Oregon Tennessee Walking Horse Association, announces that an Amateur Hi-Point Trophy has been donated by Keller’ s Saddlery of Portland to the Association. This amateur trophy will be won by the horse accumulating the most points, ridden by an amateur
( roan, woman, or child) during the year in any Walking Horse class in Oregon( OHA) shows other than those designated as Pleasure Classes. Points will be awarded 8-7-6-5-4-3 etc. for as many places as are tied.
The Mitzi-Lew Ranch of Creswell, Oregon has donated a Hi- Point Pleasure Horse trophy. The 1963 trophy was won by GIO­
VANNI JIM, owned by the Lewis’ at Boring. The“ Under 18” Rider trophy, which will be given for the first time in’ 64, has been donated by Dr. Stainsby of Eugene. This will be awarded the under 18 rider who accumulates the most points( Pleasure and / or Open) during the year while under 18 years of age, by riding Walking Horses in OHA approved shows.
