season . Bob Blaine , president of the Oregon Tennessee Walking Horse Association , announces that an Amateur Hi-Point Trophy has been donated by Keller ’ s Saddlery of Portland to the Association . This amateur trophy will be won by the horse accumulating the most points , ridden by an amateur
( roan , woman , or child ) during the year in any Walking Horse class in Oregon ( OHA ) shows other than those designated as Pleasure Classes . Points will be awarded 8-7-6-5-4-3 etc . for as many places as are tied .
The Mitzi-Lew Ranch of Creswell , Oregon has donated a Hi- Point Pleasure Horse trophy . The 1963 trophy was won by GIO
VANNI JIM , owned by the Lewis ’ at Boring . The “ Under 18 ” Rider trophy , which will be given for the first time in ’ 64 , has been donated by Dr . Stainsby of Eugene . This will be awarded the under 18 rider who accumulates the most points ( Pleasure and / or Open ) during the year while under 18 years of age , by riding Walking Horses in OHA approved shows .
