I GO BOY’S SHADOW — Two-time World Grand Champion returns to Bailey-Montgomery Stables for breed ing purposes. WALKING HORSE STARDOM FLOWS DEEP IN THE VEINS OF THESE TWO TOP SIRES Sailetf - fan tyctnery Stable* feature (jc W. J. (Jack) Montgomery, per sonable horseman and manager of the famous Bailey - Montgomery Stables, on the Lewisburg Pike near Shelbyville, Tennessee, is ob viously happy these days. And why not? With the return to his stables of 1955 and 1956 World’s Grand Champion GO BOY’S SHADOW, he now has under his management two of the greatest breeding stal lions among present - day Ten nessee Walking Horses. Standing alongside the famous SHADOW is the great young sire, PIDDLEY, called ‘.‘the Champion that would have been” by those who saw him work for the late Winston Wiser before an unfortunate injury ended his training for greatness in the ring. The return to Tennessee is really a “homecoming,” for GO BOY’S SHADOW, for he now stands in the barn where Winston Wiser trained him for the sensational career that won for him two con secutive World’s Grand Champion ships in 1955 and 1956. His owners. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bailey, of Jack- son, Mississippi, decided late- in 1963 to return SHADOW to Middle Tennessee and place him under the management of Jack Montgomery so that he may have the oppor tunity to reach his full potential as a sire of champions. Their good 4 £ha4e&> Pi44Uy PIDDLEY — “The Find of the Century,” offers perfect conforma tion and most desirable blood lines. This black stallion will have colts going in 1964. judgment is being confirmed, as many owners of quality mares in Middle Tennessee (and elsewhere) are hastening to take advantage of the convenience of SHADOW’S re location in the heart of Walking Horse country. The offspring of SHADOW who have already proved his greatness as a prepotent sire are so many and so well-known that it may ap pear to be unnecessary to “call the roll” of his winners; however, a few must be mentioned to remind us of his success in producing su perb performers in the ring: SHADOW'S JET, shown by Judy Wiser; SHADOW’S RED ACE, SHADOW’S LUMINAIRE, SHAD OW’S GAY LADY, SHADOW’S INVASION, SHADOW’S BIG TIME CTR, and MY MERRY VOICE OF THE TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE
