take. In the first place, the horse was “green” at the time. In the second place Jack merely roped a Badger. And on a very short rope! In the third place, the badger objected to such shenanigans. Every time the horse moved, the badger came down “ker-plunk” on his rump with all claws scratching and grabbing. The horse bucked. Jack hastens to add he has never bucked again. But then, Jack has not roped any more badgers either. Horse shows? Yes indeed, we have all kinds! Some of the scheduled ones in clude: Wenatchee, Washington-May 1, 2, 3 Mr. Joseph A. EDITOR'S COLUMN (Continued from Page 3) to join with the appreciated writers who have loyally and unselfishly produced excellent articles for the VOICE almost from its beginning. Other areas will soon be repre sented on our growing staff. You have responded encourag ingly to new features, such as “Professionals on Parade,” which sketches the personalities of our professional trainers, and “Walk ing Horses Around the World,” which tries to gather all kinds of news on horses and horsemen. Other such monthly features are being planned and assigned to our staff. We will be glad to hear from our readers about any or all of these additions. Thank you for your help in making this magazine what you want it to be. The issues of Volume 3 will be our best ones yet! Keep reading them from cover to cover. —The Editors CADILLAC (Sired by Old Merry Boy) And BOYCE’S BILLY SUNDAY At Our New Location 1 Mile West of Highway 41 -A on the Hall’s Mill Road Near Shelbyville, Tenn. They have been impressed with the quick and lasting results of this world-famous per formance and show conditioner; and they have become steady users, feeding each horse Formula 707 at the rate of 2 ounces a day to maintain peak condition for best perform ance all of the lime. IT’S THE CONDITIONER OF CHAMPIONS Owners and trainers from all over the world have written us, praising Formula 707 for the fine job it is doing on their horses.* Here we mention just a few champions that are fed this conditioner regularly. TIMES ROMAN and EDITORIALIST, owned by the Fourth Estate Stable, have been consistent track headliners, taking turns winning six handicap races in a row in one year. SHESHOIS, who set a new track record for \5/s miles at Latonia, was a nervous, jittery horse, “wild and unpredictable,” be fore her owners (Jan Mar Farm, Nicholas- ville, Ky.) started her on Formula 707. Then this mare calm ed down and became a useful times and, in the owner’s words, .. got part of the check 19 times out of 20 starts.” OLD TOM CAT, PANA BAR, SHE KITTY, and CHEYENNE DANDY are, other champions whose daily ration con tains a 2-ounce portion of Formula 707. When you start feeding your horse this conditioner, you too will see the results that have made these champions outstanding. Once he is put in peak condition, only 2 ounces a day will keep him that way. *These unsolicited letters are in our files and provide conclusive proof that owners are convinced Formula 707 is truly “the conditioner of champions.” lO LB.
