These are wonderful people who are doing a creditable job of promoting the Tennessee Walking Horse in many parts of the country . We appreciate their efforts !

ker Stables in Jappo , Alabama and found out that there is a lot of Walking Horse activity in their part of the country . Coker Stables , which is operated jointly by J . B . Coker , C . J . Mooney , Dennis Chambers and young mister Coker , is a beehive of activity at the horse show . These people approach the Walking Horse business with much enthusiasm and interest and now have twenty horses in training .
Johnn )' was jumping up and down about SETTING SUN ’ S CHIEF , a deep sorrel pony owned by Dr . G . T . Rowe of Hanceville , Alabama . Johnny , who is fifteen years old and an excellent exhibitor , has showed this little stud with much success so far this year and is aiming him for the top . He just might make it ! Johnny was recovering from a fractured cheek bone when he got kicked in the face last month . We are glad it wasn ’ t any more serious .
MIDNIGHT CLIMAX , a black stud owned by Dr . R . M . Barnard of Arab , Alabama , is reported coming along fine and STARS GO GIRL , owned by Mr . and Mrs . Billy Parks is also making a name for herself . This black filly is a two year old and reported to be one of the most natural going colts showing . She has a blue to her credit already and is groomed for more . A two year old strawberry roan stud named ECHO , who is by the famed GUNSMOKE , is also making great strides for the Coker Stables . He was third in
Athens , Alabama and has improved greatly since then .
ROBINWOOD FARMS — Kingsport , Tennessee
Nestled in the hills of Tennessee , right next to the Kentucky border lies Robinwood Farms , owned by Mr . and Mrs . Robert E . Piercy and Mr . and Mrs . Russell Waggoner . Their trainer , John T . Carter has a big stable full of horses that he ’ s working every day . One of the outstanding mounts there is a 4 year old mare , TOP TALENT , that has all the prospects of being just what the name denotes . Mr . Carter won the Mare and Stake Class this year in Hickory , North Carolina with this rnare . Another horse that John ’ s proud to show his guests is a Junior Stallion , REGAL GOLD . He has been shown to victory three times this year , which makes a good starting record . JET ’ S DESTINY , is a Junior Mare , owned by Mr . and Mrs . Henry Meeks of Kingsport that won the Gate City , Virginia show and the Mare Class at Kingsport . The Meeks ’ granddaughter from Clearwater , Florida will be spending the summer in Kingsport and showing the mare the rest of the season . Her name — Marty Corns .
Mr . Carter has several two year olds that he has been working during the Winter months . GO BOY ’ S NIGHT PROWLER , a MERRY BOY stud and ROGER ’ S STAR­ DUST , by ROGER ’ S MERRY GO BOY . Both of these will be introduced to the show ring in the near future .

Ernest Jones , Kingsport ; THE PO­ LITICIAN , a 2 year old stallion owned by Fred Lane of Kingsport ; STAR OF THE SHADOWS , an amateur stallion owned by Dr . Arthur Glover , Madison , Virginia ; LIVING COLOR , owned by Dr . and Mrs . Hall Bowman , Elizabethton , Tenn .; SHADOW ’ S PERFEC­ TION , a stake horse owned by Mr . and Mrs . Ed Moler from Oak Hill , West Virginia ; SIR HENRY ’ S TORNADO , owned and shown by Kathy and Brooks Piercy ; and MIDNIGHT RAMBLER , owned and shown by Mr . and Mrs . Guy Baron from Grey Station , Tenn .
KIBLER FARMS
The famous Ohio stables of the Kibler Farms again can boast of a string of excellent Walking Horses . Paul “ Whitey ” Whitehead is working about forty . Tom Bohl is general manager of the farms and does a good deal of riding also . Tom is showing WELLS FAR­ GO , a good , big , black stallion in the amatuer classes . Whitey still wins the applause of the spectators every time he turns on BLACK RYTHMN , the seven - year - old black stallion , that is siring outstanding colts , as well as continuing to show successfully .
RYTHMN ’ S RED FLASHER , by BLACK RYTHMN out of a BOMBARDIER mare , is a top three-year-old . GO RYTHMN GO , a black two-year-old stallion , is really making a big hit wherever he is shown . Also “ ready ” are a black two-year-old filly , TOUCH OF VELVET , and MACK K ’ S MONA LISA , a two-year-old , sorrel , filly .
Among horses being workod for other owners are a black junior horse , RYTHMN ’ S SHADOW , owned by Mr . and Mrs . W . R . Nichols , Blanchester , Ohio , and three colts for Dr . Smucks , of Canton , Ohio .
PAUL SMITH STABLES
Paul Smith has leased the stables of Mr . Frank Roper and is operating this well-known Central Florida facility in Winter Garden ( ten miles west of Orlando ). Paul is working twenty-one horses . He has a good four-year-old sorrel stud , SUNDUST LITTLE MAN , belonging to Mr . Roper . A black roan two-year-old filly , SHA­ DOW ’ S BLACK LADY , is being trained for Mr . Frank Fore , Lakeland , Florida . Mr . Roper owns an impressive six-year-old stallion , DETERMINATION , which is certain to win his share of blues this yera . Also for Mr . Roper Paul is working a two-year-old , SHAD­ OW ’ S NODDER , and a four-yearold road horse . Another road horse Paul is working is owned by Mrs . Betty Bell , of Orlando .
