Duncan, Inverness, Miss., was the unani­ mous choice of the officials for first place in this class. Reserve position went to GOLDEN SOUVENIR, owned by the new Beaumont Stables, Stuart’s Draft, Virginia, and capably shown by David Welsh, one of the best young trainers in the businesss. Although the call judge rated GOLDEN SOUVENIR seventh, the other judge and the referee voted him a solid second.
