On November 3, Sam Paschal
rode STORMY MIDNIGHT to the
$1,000 Pacific Coast Walking Horse
Grand Championship. Prior to this
victory he had won the Stallion
and Gelding Class in the largest
horse show of the Pacific Coast.
Approximately 1000 horses were
entered in the week-long Cow
Palace show, and the big black-
roan son of MIDNIGHT SUN and
STROLLING MERRY BIRD, at

Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Hart and
family, of Beaverton, Oregon, pur

Sam Paschal had been training the
horse, the Harts persuaded him to
fly to the West Coast to show
STORMY MIDNIGHT at the Cow
Palace. Monday, October 21, the
Hart family entertained Paschal
at an open house attended by some
135 persons. The popular trainer
responded to this hospitality by
piloting his horse to two impres

STORMY MIDNIGHT is now
stabled with Mr. Joe Biles, Biles’
Stables, Beaverton, Oregon, where
he will stand to selected mares

son, Joe Biles, will exhibit the
horse throughout the West. No
