Mid-South Horse Shows Assn, mem
bers smashed all records again at
Jackson, Tenn., on Feb. 10-11 by
scheduling the greatest number of
horse shows in Lhe history of man
kind-presenting a highly informative
program, and reelecting officers. More
than 120 shows were tentatively listed.

horses so nominated must be individ
ual members of the Mid-South As
sociation except that Show Stables
may obtain an annual membership
and nominate horses before June 15 of
each year, in which event the require
ment that the rider be an individual
member to receive points is waived.
This was clarified by Mid-South
offi cials explaining that a stable may-
own two or more horses showing in
the same division and, in this event
may not always be able to provide
an individual Mid-South Member as
rider for the second horse. This ap
plies only to the horses in actual
ownership by the stable and does not
apply to individually owned kept in
the stable.

To be eligible for a Mid-South
championship award in one of the 15
divisions offered, individual members
of the Mid-South may nominate or
record the horses in their ownership
prior to June 15. Each member must
select either from the Open or Ama
teur classes in their respective divi
sions, for point awards for the sea
son. No horse will receive awards in
