Ray Bienko, a young, energetic artisan, maintains a fully equipped blacksmith operation at the Quarter Circle S Ranch at Route 2, P. 6. Box 390, Largo, Fla. The ranch is located on Starkey Road. He advertises handmade, toe weight horse shoes in this issue of the Voice.

With the help of latest portable equipment, he is charged with the responsibility of shoeing all the valuable shew horses stabled at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club in Tampa, Fla., roil as the registered stock at Mr. and Mrs. William Mills ' Pine View Stables in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Ray does all his work by appointment, and uses handmade, toe weight shoes of his own design. He says he finds they are much easier to fit and to nail, and they have many advantages over the regular cast iron shoe used by many blacksmiths.
In his advertisement Ray says his handmade, toe weight shoes are avaieable at § 5 per pair, plus shipping charges. To fill orders, he needs to know the size of shoe, the desired weight and whether a flat or tolled toe is preferred. Inquiries are invited.
Montana Folks Hear Reports Of Celebration
Interesting reports about attendance at the Celebration in Shelbyville, Tenn., were heard by members of the Tennessee Walking Horse Assn, of Montana at its November meeting in Libby, Mont., according to Mrs. Pearl Tompkins, secretary.
Telling of the great show, fine horses and Southern hospitality were Arthur Harlow, Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Ferree and Dr. John Whalen.
Riders told about the Aug. 4 Glacier Park Trail Ride and how the forest ranger reported the ride was completed two hours sooner than it is usually made. There were four registered stallions on the ride— one of them ridden by a woman— which testifies to the gentle disposition of the Walker. Mrs. Robert Keyser rode the stallion.
Next meeting of the association was announced for Jan. 19 at the Whitefish Saddle Clubhouse.
It was announced that Don Deyoe of Lewistown, Mont., operator of a large cattle ranch in Eastern Montana, had bought two registered Tennessee Walking Mares from Mrs. Pearl Tompkins of Elmo, Mont.
