February, 1963
OUR MOST URGENT NEEDS
This February issue of the Voice was jumped from a planned 24
pages (including cover) to 32 pages on Feb. 12 after Editor Ben A.
Green had recovered suddenly on Feb. S from an illness that lasted
more than four months (as tokl in an editorial on Page 1.). “I have
much to be thankful for and much to make up in the life of the Voice,”
said Ben. 'I need help. 1 especially need help in getting display ad
vertising. The great breakthrough on the inside front cover (a two-color
ad for Kraft to run six times this year) shows we have something to
offer the nation as an advertising medium. Can you help us get this
message over to potential advertisers? We want to send every interested
firm a copy of this issue showing what Kraft is doing. And we want
to thank die folks at the Clinton E. Frank, Inc., advertising firm of
Chicago for picking us for this history-making ad. It never before
happened in any Tennessee Walking Horse magazine. Of course we
thank the Kraft Company folks also.”
