V Plant City, Fla. ; , How Mean Is Mary Frances There's a "mean man" in Hollis, Okla., on Route 1. He's real “mean" because he ordered a training book and left out the $5. So I told him we enjoyed his letter mightily, and ap proved his intentions but Mary Frances just insists upon not putting anybody on our Trainer Steve Hill & The Tennessee Walking Horse book list without that §5 item. So Bill Motley fires back 5 bucks and adds: "Give my regards to your wife, Mary Frances—sorry to hear she is such a 'mean' woman.” What Bill means is that if he came to 1110 S. Brittain St., Shelbyville, Tenn., in rags and hun gry, Mary Frances would give my grits to him and also probably doll him up in my Sunday suit. She's a generous soul. But she guards that Training Book list so nary a name gets on it without So going into the savings ac count dedicated thereto. This wife of mine is going to make me get out of debt some way, and she would rather see it happen while I am alive so I can see her in that "fur stole” she is going to celebrate with—when all debts are clear, including the price of a "fur stole.” (BAG). This Magazine 12 Months For Just $4.00 Ben A. Green Shelbyville, Tenn. Howard Says, “Rake Them Up” Howard S. Hopkins of Portland, Ark., must have neighbors who told him the Voice was "something" be cause he writes: “The notice of your publication was misplaced and I have just come across it. My subscription is for one year and I would certainly like for it to start with the first issue. Please see if you can rake up the back issues and start the issues to rolling.” Mary Frances read of Howard’s plight, stuffed four issues into a manila envelope, attached 21 cents worth of stamps, and fired it to Arkan sas (the Editor's native state). We are happy to rescue all New Subscribers in all states just as long as the early issues last. We just know Howard's happy now. LET US TAKE CARE OF YOUR | Tennessee Walking Horses This Winter , "We have a brand new barn with 16 stalls and own seven registered horses ourselves. We have on hand riders to exercise your horses.
