$3,650 In Prizes For Walking Horses In Texas Fair Show
Walking Horses will play a pro
minent role in the State Fair of Texas
Horse Show Series I, scheduled Oct.
5-9, in the new S2 million State Fair
Coliseum at Dallas—advertised in this
issue of the Voice.
There will be 15 Walking Horse
classes with prize money totalling S3,-
650; five halter classes for Tennessee
Walking Horses; and three Walking
Horse Seat classes.
Walking Horse events are scheduled
for all night programs at the coliseum.
Robert IT. Burris of Franklin, Tenn.
will judge all Walking Horse events.

II but post entries are allowed “if
sufficient reason is given."
The 15 Walking Horse riding
classes with total prize money in each $1,000 Walking Horse Champion
class are:
Stake.
$250 Stallion-Gelding Stake; $250
Halter classes will be weanlings and
Mare Stake; S200 Ladies Stake; S200 yearlings of both sexes and brood
Amateur Stallion-Gelding Class; $200; mares with 1962 foal.
$200 Amateur Mare Class; $200 Ama
Walking Seat classes will be for boy
teur Stake; $200 Amateur Stake— or girl riders 12 years old and under,
Owner-Rider; $100 Juvenile Class, 12 for riders 13 years old but under 18;
years and under; $100 Juvenile Class, and the championship, open to first
13 years and under 18 years;
four place winners in these two events.
$150 Juvenile Champion Stake;
