Arthritis lias brought Tucson a
champion stable of horses—along with
all the people who settled here to be
healed in the sun.
When Danny Boy came down with
some sore joints, Mr. and Mrs. Mory
G. Ohrel moved their ranch from St.
Collins, Colorado, and gave Arizona
a stable of Tennessee Walking Horses.
As the stud for some of the best
brood mares in tile country. Danny
Boy was too much bread and butter
to lose.
“We also wanted to get oul of the
cold ourselves,” said Ohrel, owner of
the Quarter Circle Spear Ranch on
Sabino Canyon Rd.
Aside from Danny Boy, Ohrel has
three brood mares which have won
world championships.
Two of his 32 horses will be shown
in the Pima County Sheriff’s Posse’s
annual horse show' at the El Conquis
tador shopping center.
“We’ve already sold a bunch of
horses since we came to Arizona last
summer, so the future looks good,”
said Ohrel who was born on a Colo
rado ranch.
“The trouble here is that the only
thing anybody has cared about is the
quarter horse,” said Mrs. Ohrel. “We

to have to dig around in the desert
to find the same thing here.”
