Inner Courtyard in Winter Getting to Marienburg Castle by public transport: By rail from all directions: When King George V and his family travelled from Hanover to their summer residence, they took the train to Nordstemmen station. Today, the castle can be reached incomparably more quickly. Nordstemmen station is very well served from the directions of Hildesheim (from 11 minutes), Hanover (from 16 minutes) and Hamelin (from 35 minutes). If you want to walk to the Castle from Nordstemmen, you should plan in around 40 minutes.
