Freshman Admission Evaluation Process
We evaluate applicants through a holistic review process, which helps ensure we give all students the best opportunity to present a complete
picture of their qualifications. Our holistic review includes consideration of the following:
Academic Preparation & Performance (Primary Factors)
• Rigorous course selection throughout high school career (i.e. Honors, AP, IB, and Dual/Concurrent Enrollment courses)
• Grade trends
• Cumulative unweighted GPA
• ACT and/or SAT standardized test scores
• Excellence in academic achievement, intellectual pursuits, and creative endeavors
• Satisfactory completion of all high school core course requirements
Personal Achievements & Characteristics (Secondary Factors)

• Academic achievement and awards or distinctions
• Involvement in student clubs and organizations, athletics, other extracurricular activities, or work
• Familial responsibilities
• Extraordinary circumstances
• Significant commitment to community engagement, citizenship, and leadership
• Ability to contribute to and benefit from a culturally and intellectually diverse learning community
