I strive to bring the thrill of scientific discovery into the classroom whether teaching at the first-year or graduate level.
Ultimate success in this endeavor is measured by the accomplishments of students. I have shared the Nobel Laureate
Signature Award in Graduate Education with a former Ph.D. student, and former undergraduate research students in my lab
have gone on to graduate and professional study at the top institutions in the country.”
