The University of Utah offers in-state tuition to students who change their
residency to the state of Utah.
This is a great way to save money on your education at the U. To gain Utah residency you must:
Establish Domicile Ties (Utah driver’s license, voter registration, etc.)
Have 12 continuous months of Utah residency
Have financial independence (parents can’t claim you as a dependent)
Fill out the Residency Reclassification Application
