Just because we’re big doesn’t mean
we have to act like it.
Everyone deserves a mentor
Here’s a grade-boosting tip: Get to know your professors. At the University of Utah, you can. With an average of 17 students per faculty
member, you can have working relationships with your professors, and that will open doors for you.
We also have a bunch of formalized mentorship programs, so from day one, you can have someone to help show you the ropes, to ensure
you succeed and enjoy college life. Then, as you enter a major, there are mentors who are studying the same thing you are. And we also have
mentors based on who you are or who you want to be. Find a mentor through your major or check out a non-major academic mentorship
program like UROP, VPCAT or U-Helm.
