It is known to be one of the UK’s longest industrial disputes to date. From regular visits to the site, my interest has grown in the current dilapidated state of the building in a way that echoes its recent history of industrial dispute and failure. In the final year of the Foundation Degree photography course at Coleg Llandrillo, Rhos-on-Sea, our group held an exhibition entitled ‘Focus Now’ at Oriel Colwyn, North Wales in January 2016. None of us in the group had previously exhibited before, however the exhibition was a great success with positive feedback from all and has inspired and motivated us to exhibit more of our work. We would like to thank Paul Sampson and Oriel Colwyn for their support and the opportunity to exhibit our work.
