Its economic development is the most advanced and the railway net is the longest in Italy, with 850 km against the 524 of Lombardy-Veneto.

It borders to the north the Kingdom of Lombardy-Veneto, to the east with Pontifical State and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, to the south the Ligurian Sea and to the west the Kingdom of Sardinia and the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza.

It is a repressive government that fills the prisons of liberals and democrats and it doesn’ t give impulse to the economy of the country.
