White Ribbon Scotland The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest international movement of men working to end violence against women. Supporters are asked to pledge ‘never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women’. If you, or a group of men you know, want to get involved with the work of White Ribbon Scotland visit: www.whiteribbonscotland.org.uk or why not show your support by signing the White Ribbon Pledge at: www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk/makepledge Council and College combine to pay floral tribute to the White Ribbon Campaign To mark the 16 days of Action Campaign Clackmannanshire Council, in partnership with The Alloa Campus of Forth Valley College, will be creating a display of white crocuses that will be an annual reminder of the issue of violence against women. During November white crocuses bulbs will be planted in the design of the White Ribbon Campaign logo on a prominent embankment outside the college. The White Ribbon campaign is signed up to by men who know that there’s never an excuse for violence against women. They pledge never to condone it, or to stand by when they know it is happening. The planting has been designed and will be carried out by the Council’s land services and the highly visible site has been made available by the College. Every year in February the crocuses will emerge in the form of the White Ribbon logo as an ongoing reminder of the role of men in the campaign against the issue of violence against women.
