ABOUT THE EDITOR As the Founder, Editor-in-Chief, and Chief Photographer of VNB Magazine, Le Quan has created an alluring platform for all those captured and seduced by the beauty of the feminine form. The allure of VNB dresses its NYC headquarters with seemingly endless posters of covergirls, magazines, sketches, lights, and lingerie samples from its upcoming intimate collection. It’s a studio, an office, a design lab, a play house - it’s everything that Le has worked hard to create - the quintessential “American Dream” that has inspired generations of creative talents, including James Brown, whose song, “I don’t want nobody to give me nothing” plays proudly in the background. “I don’t want nobody To give me nothing Open up the door Prior to its inception, Le has held 16 different jobs that ranged from the food and service industry to construction, to administration, to translator, and then to graphic design under another magazine. Eventually, when the magazine refused to continue his contract, he decided to launch his own empire, fusing all the things that he loves and does best. “In Vietnam, everyone has his own business - regardless of the size or nature. I only know how to shoot, and I love women. I have to stay true to what I love, and if I’m left with one word, that’s belief.” However challenging the fundraising efforts have been, for a relatively risqué subject to focus on, Le was convinced that there is a market for such a sophisticated men’s magazine that would provide a platform of opportunities for emerging talent and creative beings. In his own words, “Hey, I don’t sell beer, I don’t sell food, I sell lingerie, and I only do the stuff I love - the rest doesn’t matter. Because when it comes to sacrifice, it’s gotta be for something you love.” With the launch of VNB intimates - a seductive lingerie collection under his very own label, Le’s journey is only about to become more exciting. He’s one of those people who always seeks and manages to make the most out of any situation, but bad situations in particular. He’s a visionary who walks the walk, and never lets you down. I’ll get it myself We got talents we can use On our side of town Let’s get our heads together And get it up from the ground” “Every road has its turns, curves, drops, and highs, but it’s how you navigate them, and we’re going to keep going.” Le claims this song to be his anthem, as it depicts his journey of getting VNB off the ground, to its modern state. The beginning of any venture is not easy, but VNB in particular was, and remains to this day, a risk and a gamble. VN BMAG AZ I N E. CO M 16 Le Quan / President
