Q&A 1. Please tell us about yourself. My name is Thuy Ho and I am a professional Actress and Model in New York City. I was born in Kansas and lived in Hawaii, Texas, and Florida as well. I am Vietnamese-American and am proud being a part of both cultures. 2. What made you want to be a face of the VNB brand? VNB embodies the feminine beauty in women and I am glad to be a part of this gorgeous brand. I am excited that it is growing into an international magazine. 3. If you could change one thing about VNB, what would it be? To become an evolving community and the group of women to continually work together like the Victoria Secret brand! 4. How did you become involved in the modelling industry? I was always doing it for fun and one thing lead to another. This journey has been very amazing! VNB has brought yet another wonderful experience to my resume. 5. Who is your favorite model? Very hard one, hard to chose, but I love Kate Moss. I admire her work with Alexander McQueen, she radiates in every picture. She has meld art and modeling together. I also love Kimora Lee Simmons, she has such a big personality! Love it! 6. What is your happiest memory? I love being with my nieces. They always bring joy into my heart. Beautiful souls! I have many happy memories, but they always bring new light into my heart. Hope to have my own children one day. 7. What is your greatest fear? Having everything I worry about become reality! upset emotion. 8. Have you ever searched for your name online? Always going to multiple auditions a day and running around a lot! Sometimes I have to change wardrobe and makeup more than once. I also have to come home to my pup Cozmo! 10. What is your favourite fitness activity? I love Yoga with Meditation. I do Pilates as well to have a balance. Living in NYC, it’s sometimes hard to check in with yourself and body. Woooooo-sahhhh 11. Do you have any advice for models new to the business? Be nicer than you want to be and keep your ego on check. Be very professional , always be on time, and take your career seriously if this is you want to do! 12. What is your motto? Carpe Diem! And love this quote from Sir Anthony Hopkins:“My philosophy is: It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.” 13. Who is your real life hero? The older I get, the more I realize my parents sacrificed for us to have a foundation for a better life. I have no excuse to succeed in life because of them. 14. What inspires you? Every kind of art. Music puts me in a good place. I can really sit down and listen to every instrument and note. It’s magical to see imagination and the thought process to create art to put it out there. That I admire. 15. What is your idea of a perfect man? Someone who truly understand me—just because I’m quite weird and have a lot of eclectic interests. If I can share that with someone...total turn on 16. What is your idea of a perfect date? It would be with someone who makes me feel that it’s just us and the world. Kind of like we are in a bubble and having fun together without caring what anyone thinks! 17. Where would your ideal vacation be? I’ve trotted around the world and loved every place. Japan, France, England, Vietnam (of course!) and Saipan. I would consider those places I’ve been to --traveling. But for a vacation? The Maldives. Exotic, beautiful, and very unique.
