Q&A
1. Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Thuy Ho and I am a professional Actress
and Model in New York City. I was born in Kansas and
lived in Hawaii, Texas, and Florida as well. I am Vietnamese-American and am proud being a part of both
cultures.
2. What made you want to be a face of the VNB
brand?
VNB embodies the feminine beauty in women and I am
glad to be a part of this gorgeous brand. I am excited
that it is growing into an international magazine.
3. If you could change one thing about VNB, what
would it be?
To become an evolving community and the group of
women to continually work together like the Victoria
Secret brand!
4. How did you become involved in the modelling
industry?
I was always doing it for fun and one thing lead to
another. This journey has been very amazing! VNB
has brought yet another wonderful experience to my
resume.
5. Who is your favorite model?
Very hard one, hard to chose, but I love Kate Moss. I
admire her work with Alexander McQueen, she radiates in every picture. She has meld art and modeling
together. I also love Kimora Lee Simmons, she has such
a big personality! Love it!
6. What is your happiest memory?
I love being with my nieces. They always bring joy into
my heart. Beautiful souls! I have many happy memories,
but they always bring new light into my heart. Hope to
have my own children one day.
7. What is your greatest fear?
Having everything I worry about become reality! upset
emotion.
8. Have you ever searched for your name online?
Yes, and I forgot I was part of a Starcraft clan. Lol! I
had to do it to see if my website was pulling up: www.
ThuyHo.com or follow me @iamthuyho
9. What is your daily schedule like?
Very hectic. Always going to multiple auditions a day
and running around a lot! Sometimes I have to change
wardrobe and makeup more than once. I also have to
come home to my pup Cozmo!
10. What is your favourite fitness activity?
I love Yoga with Meditation. I do Pilates as well to have a
balance. Living in NYC, it’s sometimes hard to check in
with yourself and body. Woooooo-sahhhh
11. Do you have any advice for models new to the
business?
Be nicer than you want to be and keep your ego on
check. Be very professional , always be on time, and take
your career seriously if this is you want to do!
12. What is your motto?
Carpe Diem! And love this quote from Sir Anthony
Hopkins:“My philosophy is: It’s none of my business
what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am
and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.”
13. Who is your real life hero?
The older I get, the more I realize my parents sacrificed
for us to have a foundation for a better life. I have no
excuse to succeed in life because of them.
14. What inspires you?
Every kind of art. Music puts me in a good place. I can
really sit down and listen to every instrument and note.
It’s magical to see imagination and the thought process
to create art to put it out there. That I admire.
15. What is your idea of a perfect man?
Someone who truly understand me—just because I’m
quite weird and have a lot of eclectic interests. If I can
share that with someone...total turn on
16. What is your idea of a perfect date?
It would be with someone who makes me feel that it’s
just us and the world. Kind of like we are in a bubble and
having fun together without caring what anyone thinks!
17. Where would your ideal vacation be?
I’ve trotted around the world and loved every place. Japan, France, England, Vietnam (of course!) and Saipan.
I would consider those places I’ve been to --traveling.
But for a vacation? The Maldives. Exotic, beautiful, and
very unique. Hopefully soon, because of global warming
there is a risk it will be underwater!
Thank you so much Le Quan and VNB Magazine for the
spotlight feature!
