Message from the
International Director
Attitude - Commitment - Excellence.
Three key attributes for members and leaders. We all join
Toastmasters for different reasons. What keeps us here has a
lot to do with what we gain from this organisation.When I look
back to my first days as a member I remember the attitude of the
people in my club. They were all so positive and encouraging.
That helped increase my confidence and stretch my comfort
zone.What kept me engaged in this great organisation was the
commitment of those people who mentored and helped me set
goals for the future. They knew before I did that there was more
we could accomplish by working together towards s service
of excellence.Throughout my journey it has been amazing
how many people have touched and changed my life. This is
such a crucial part of the growth we experience and one that
is taken for granted so easily.Toastmasters working together
ensure that we recognise our cultural differences throughout
the world working to meet the goals of our members no matter
where they are.I encourage you to be that person who reaches
out with a positive attitude to a new member and commits to
them with a service of excellence!
