Community Reinvestment Coalition will fund affordable housing

Earlier this year , the Greater Sacramento Economic Council launched the Community Reinvestment Coalition , a new initiative with the primary goal of reinvesting in low- to moderateincome communities . The CRC has already committed $ 100 million to address the affordable housing crisis in the Greater Sacramento region , which is estimated to need more than 150,000 additional housing units over the next eight years . The CRC is focused on providing resources through local community banks that will have a long-lasting impact on the region and beyond . Comstock ’ s spoke to three stakeholders about their role in the new coalition as well as the housing challenges facing the region .
