WEAVE Unveiling of ‘ I Vote ’ mural project
Maren Conrad ’ s “ I Vote ” mural project at WEAVE ’ s Midtown Sacramento office was unveiled Oct . 19 . The project includes portraits of 19 suffragettes who were women of color or LGBTQ individuals ; their efforts helped pass the 19th Amendment , which gave women the right to vote . The project was funded in part by the Julie A . Soderlund Memorial Fund ; Soderlund was an aide to former Gov . Arnold Schwarzenegger . Photos by Tia Gemmell
