Maximise the use of existing infrastructure
Emtelle have a product range of tube bundles which can be installed into existing 40 and
32 millimetre ducts and we have other products that can fit into other size sub ducts. These
products can be installed using standard blowing equipment and pushing equipment,
where microducts can be pushed up to 800 metres and blown up to 1500 metres.
We have various types of tube bundle which can be used for trunk and for fibre to the home
networks. These bundles can consist of cables that can be 144 or 192 fibres. There are
also drop microducts which are generally 7mm in diameter, where you can install 2 up to
12 fibres, for fibre to the home and for fibre to the business.
It’s known that there are over 10,000km of unused 40mm ducts in Northern Europe. The
requirement to fill these ducts is necessary to complete fibre to the home in many areas.
