Looking at the classical case file and profile of Family Annihilators, father figures, analyzing the psychological differences in Motive and triggers as to why this brutal crime may take place. Once analyzing common motives and potential psychological means, looking at rates of suicide between case files recorded. The variables used in the content analysis will show the differences between rates of suicide and non-suicide after the act is committed.
Ashanti Raysor( In) The Socioeconomic Influences on Education and Crime This research examines the impact of economic status on college enrollment, degree completion, and criminal justice involvement among college-age individuals in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It explores how financial stability, parental education, and access to resources influence academic and legal outcomes. By analyzing socioeconomic disparities, this study aims to identify patterns that contribute to lower graduation rates and higher criminal justice involvement among economically disadvantaged students. The findings will provide insights into how financial barriers shape educational and legal trajectories, informing policies and support programs that promote equal opportunities in higher education and reduce systemic inequalities in the justice system.
Amber Sims( In) The Effectiveness of Private Halfway Houses on Recidivism Rates This research project looks at the effectiveness of private halfway house on recidivism rates. I interviewed employees and correctional officers on their experiences when working within these facilities and their perspectives on how these facilities impact recidivism rates. These interviews looked at employees’ experience with being involved in the criminal justice system, the types of amenities and mental health services provided to residents, and an overall correctional perspective on how reentry programs like private halfway houses can be useful.
