Over the past 20 months , the Capital Region ’ s Development and Construction industries have proven to be very resilient in the midst of a barrage of challenges related to the pandemic , including dramatic workforce and supply-chain interruptions threatening to delay or derail projects . Thanks to creative development strategies and an expanding focus on industries like health care , residential and infrastructure , construction as a whole is projected to not only recover but also grow nearly 5 % across all sectors in 2022 .
With numerous large projects coming online in the past year , including the new SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District , two large state office projects in downtown Sacramento with a third close behind , and a wide range of education , healthcare , hospitality , casino , civic , multifamily and industrial projects in progress , there ’ s much anticipation for what ’ s ahead .
In this year ’ s 4th Annual Project Showcase , we highlight a range of projects across Clayton Blakley a multitude of industries that represent both public and private investments in the
Senior Vice President / region ’ s growth to the tune of billions of dollars . We also feature local AEC ( Architecture , Business Development Engineering and Construction ) firms making an impact in designing and building
Comstock ’ s magazine regional projects and we explore how they continue to evolve to succeed in an
increasingly complex building environment . We hope you enjoy the section .
