Springfield Library
The library refurbishment was largely
completed in July with only a few minor
defects still to be rectified. The new space
has proven very popular with students
and staff alike and the 24hr section has
been well utilized. The new outdoor area
provides a shaded communal space whilst
also shading the east facing windows from
the morning sun.

Ipswich Bookshop and Cafe
The Ipswich bookshop fit-out was completed in July 2018 and is now
trading as part of the café giving the interior of L Block a significant
visual lift. New café furniture was installed on the balcony, old
sunshades have been removed and new roof lights installed creating
a much brighter and pleasant outdoor dining area. This combined
with the placement of new tables and chairs with umbrellas on the
open terrace between L and H Blocks has created a much more
engaging space for the campus community.

A new five bay simulated nursing ward is currently being constructed
at Ipswich on Level 3, Building I, to complement the existing wards
in the building. We anticipate the build to be complete prior to ‘O’
Week in Semester 1.
