Tamela E Harris ( V ) Exploring Math Outcomes and Teacher Instructional Approaches for Students from Low SES Backgrounds : a mixed methods study This study explores how teaching methods in math , aligned with educational standards , influence the academic performance of students from low SES backgrounds in grades three to eight at two public charter schools . Grounded in Vygotsky ’ s Sociocultural Theory , the science of learning and development ( SoLD ), and active learning principles , the research uses a mixed-methods design . It assesses teachers ’ skills in recognizing low SES students and the effectiveness of math instructional strategies . The results show variability in teachers ’ identification abilities and the use of varied teaching methods . Future research recommendations include examining teacher training effects on supporting students with low SES .
Madeleine Herman ( In ) The Effects of Project-Based Learning on Skill Development for Sport Management Students Employability This research study examines how project-based learning impacts sport management students ’ skill preparedness and employability for sport industry employment post-graduation while comparing them with the skills sport industry leaders say they should have . This study analyzes the information received from sport management students and sport industry employers to suggest effective ways sport management students can obtain and improve the skills they are lacking . The results can help bridge the gap between the industry standards and skill development in sport management curriculum .
