Eat at the Quay Restaurant, Sydney
I highly recommend dinner at the Quay Restaurant before or after you see a performance at the Sydney Opera House. It’ s situated literally directly across the harbor from the Opera House, with spectacular views( especially after dark). This is a high-end restaurant, but I had one of the best meals in my life. Their fish dishes are particularly excellent. You need to make a reservation as far ahead as possible. Try to get a table next to the windows facing the Opera House for an Australian dining experience you won’ t soon forget!

Get a SIM card
If you are planning on using your smartphone while abroad, unlock it before leaving the U. S. and then purchase a local SIM card when you get to the airport overseas. Telstra has the best coverage in Australia, for about $ 30 per day. They also offer an international roaming plan and a prepaid option that will work for you in New Zealand.
