While it’ s true that conservative( and downright repressive) attitudes towards women can make travel here a bit of a challenge if you are going solo, it’ s also true that the cultures of North Africa and the Middle East place a very high value on hospitality. You will encounter genuine kindness, generosity, and curiosity— not to mention all those amazing antiquities, the riveting history, stunning landscapes, and glorious weather.
