“Celebrate diversity, practice acceptance and may we all choose peaceful options to conflict.”

Minding your manners while holding your own
It’ s important for any traveler to learn the cultural norms of their destination, but it’ s doubly important if you are a woman traveling on your own. After all, many of the different behaviors and attitudes you encounter will have to do with gender, and being prepared can save you( and your foreign hosts) plenty of discomfort. Keep an open mind, focus on the positive, and be mindful that how you comport yourself abroad reflects on all Americans.
