Antique Airfield Blakesburg Fly-in

This historic airfield , located at 22001 Bluegrass Rd . in Ottumwa , is home of the Antique Airplane Association and the Airpower Museum . The annual AAA / APM Invitation Fly-in is held each September over Labor Day Weekend , and is a “ by-the-members-for-the-members ” convention and reunion . BaconTown

This is a festival for all things bacon . This annual event brings individual cooks , restaurants and grocery stores to Bridge View Center in Ottumwa . In the past , the event has featured free admission with samples available for a slight fee . The event features live music and a kids ’ area .

Blakesburg Corn Carnival

This festival has been held for nearly 120 years , with the first one taking place in 1905 . The festival is scheduled for Sept . 20-21 , and traditional activities include a vendor fair , carnival rides , a talent show , kiddie parade , pie auction , tractor pulls , bathtub races , the big parade and more .
