Blakesburg Corn Carnival

This festival has been held for more than 100 years , with the first one taking place in August 1905 . The festival is traditionally held over a threeday weekend in September , and activities in past years include a vendor fair . carnival rides , a talent show , kiddie parade , pie auction , tractor pulls , bathtub races , the big parade and more . BaconTown

This is a festival for all things bacon . This annual event began more than five years ago and brings individual cooks , restaurants and grocery stores to Bridge View Center . In the past , the event has featured free admission with samples available for a slight fee . The event features live bands and a kids ’ area .

Duck Races

Thousands of rubber ducks will be dumped from a truck down a slip-and-slide on South Court Street , launching from Central Park , Sept . 24 . Ducks are available for adoption with $ 1 of every adoption benefiting the Heartland Humane Society , this year ’ s 2022 nonprofit partner .
