Race day typically begins with packet pickup followed by a one-mile fun run/walk at 8 a.m. Survivor recognition and the 5K timed race, and awards ceremony round out the day. Thousands of visitors make a special trip to the Tulip City each year to admire blooming tulips and Dutch architecture, indulge in Dutch foods and learn the city’s unique history. Locals dress in beautiful Dutch costumes and give tours at the Pella Historical Society and Museums.
