Visualization Technique to Overcome Depression: Think of a place or activity that brings you great satisfaction and makes you feel really happy. This could be anything from floating in a pool on a warm summer afternoon, to sledding down a slope on a snowy morning. Whatever works best for you should be your special visualization oasis. Find a place that is peaceful and where you won't be disturbed for a while. The best place for a lot of people is in bed right before going to sleep, but you can choose your own special time and place. To begin, get comfortable and close your eyes, imagine yourself in that happy place doing that happy thing and feel the smile on your face. Look around and soak up the sights.
