newsprint stains
the fingers like
blood
dripping from corporate
pens
writing everything but
the truth
hidden behind a paycheck
fair
indiscriminate
honest
wallets bulging
while cupboards are bare
no one died today
go out and play
just an oil spill they say
go out and play
the water will be fine
go out and play
just a little slime
go out and play
newsprint stains
the soul like
blood
dripping from the cut throat
pens sealing the deal
