Total Slaughter. Mostly everyone was booed on this
night.
Judgement Day
Props to Ebro for voting for Hollow and reminding
everyone of the obvious. Still though, why would they
pick somebody who has talked down battle rap in the
past?
The Tale of Two Mics
Hollow wasn’t even mic’ed up when the first round of
his battle with Joe started. Budden gave Hollow his
hands free mic while he used Sway’s concert mic. That
was a deep distinction in performances during the
battle. One man had to hold a mic, the other was free
to perform.
somebody who has performed in front of large crowds
react this way. Hollow picked up the fallen mic and
started rapping again. They cut him off, but allowed
Joe to continue. By this point, the damage was done.
Rejected Fan Base
As soon as it was announced that Hollow had won,
many people in the crowd began to get angry. I heard
people say, “Joe bodied Hollow.” and things like,
“Wow. They robbed Joe.” or “How did the judges let
this happen?”
I died on my way back uptown thinking about these
people...
