100 BARS MAGAZINE 009 MAY/JUN 2014 | Page 31

Jon Rines: I actually looked up the definition of “hustle”, which means busy movement and activity. So with your working with Cam and Kid Capri; recording in the studio; BET; all of your shoots; will it take the attention away from your bars with Gattas? Ms. Hustle: No, because I’ve been doing a lot, but there’s always a point in my day when I’m up in the morning coming up with bars in the shower or going over my bars until I get to the studio. I go home and I’m up until four in the morning thinking about bars. So it’s not going to take me away at all. After I went out with Gattas & Drect, I posted on Gattas’ Instagram photo of her NOME 4 battle with Hustle that she would “beat Ms. Hustle”. My exact words were, “You got this easy!” I’m not an IG kind of person, so I didn’t think twice to check that picture until a week later, when I was told by others that Ms. Hustle had some choice words to say to me. I didn’t believe them until I read her comment saying, “You’re doing some dick riding over there, huh? Be a manager and chill. Gattas smiled and we had a great night of fun. Gattas understood it was just an opinion and she didn’t let it get to her. I also did a review saying Bonnie defeated Gattas. Gattas watched it and we’re still cool. I did a very long review of the Hustle and Jaz battle in which I faced the same large crowd of fans that dislike Ms. Hustle now coming at me because I said she won that battle. So why did me saying that Gattas would beat Hustle make her so upset? I think battle rap is a good training school to go through to become a big rap star. You get to learn, make mistakes and do a lot of damage control before it has any long-lasting effect on your overall image. Ms. Hustle is the First Lady of the biggest platform in battle rap. If anyone is jumping out of the gate to represent the hardcore battle rap fans in the mainstream rap media, it’s her. She’s signing BET contracts on Instagram for crying out loud. She needs to be mentally prepared and keep her composure at all times and understand she needs the fans support along with anyone else that wants to help her. In this write-up alone, she dissed the only female personality that’s in her stable who loves to push and promote all the females. She dissed the writer that specifically asked t
