(AndtwonDaDon laughs) My
question is, how important is
your preparation for a battle as it
relates to your physical
appearance and what
fragrances do you
wear?
Ms.Miami: When
I started battling, I
didn’t put much thought
into my appearance. I always
make sure my hair is done —
both on- and off-camera — but I
just wore whatever I thought was
comfy and cute.
Now I always premeditate on
what look I’m going for. Those
YouTube comments can be
brutal, so I have to be extra
on-point. I like designers, but I
can also get a quick inexpensive
outfit and rock it like its Versace.
(Miami laughs)
I’m going for the sexy, cool look
these days. I won’t be dressed
for the club, but I want [fans]
to see that I can be sexy. I
believe that what you bring to
the audience, as far as talent,
is way more important than
appearance. Some artists look
amazing but their performance
and everything else is a hot mess.
So looking good along with
rapping well is great. Hygiene
is extremely important to me,
especially when I have a battle.
You can’t be aggressive — all
up in someone’s face — and
you have body odor or bad
breath. That’s so offensive! I am
a lipstick addict and perfume
fanatic. I love Burberry Body,
Versace Bright Crystals, D&G
Rose The One and D&G Light
Blue are some of my favorites;
