This blog war has addressed
everything but battle rap. During
my first experience with tuning
into Angryfan’s new “Angryfan
Radio Show”, I heard nothing
but threats towards Chris Unbias.
Chris Unbias hit back with a blog,
attacking Angryfan’s character and
exposing screenshots of conversations between the two. Angryfan,
in turn, responded with another
blog to address the Unbias blog —
the point is — this has nothing to
do with battle rap, nor will it help
the culture. The blog war seems to
have ended, but this is something
that should never happen again.
HOT OR NOT
by NU NU NELLZ
WHO’S HOT, WHO’S NOT
It’s your girl Nunu Nellz — Wendy
Williams with this battle rap s**t
— and I’m here to let you guys know
what’s hot right now in battle rap
and what’s not hot; starting with
what’s hot...
Girl Fight: Queen of the
Ring presents “C3 vs.
O’fficial”
This was a crazy-debatable battle.
Some have labeled this battle as
the female version of “Loaded
Lux vs. Hollow Da Don”. With
O’fficial’s heavy hitting bars,
aggression and performance versus C3’s crazy wordplay, freestyle
ability and matching aggression,
these two ladies showed that they
are not to be messed with and that
they both deserve respect from
male and female battle rap fans
alike. With this battle making
http://www.urltv.tv, http://www.
vladtv.com and many other web
channels, it’s safe to say that this
battle is hot.
“That chopper pick ni**as up with
no warning; it’s like a slave ship.”
— O’fficial
“I told Debo, ‘When I see O, I’m a
slam them bars on her like a C.O.’”
— C3
Now on to what’s not hot...
Bloggers at War: Angry fan
vs. Chris Unbias
For those unfamiliar with the two
battle rap bloggers, Angryfan is
known for his video recap blogs of
recent battles and his over-the-top
personality. He comes accompanied by his loyal army of battle rap
fans, who have dubbed themselves
“the Angryfan Movement”. Chris
Unbias is known for his Unbias
Facebook debate group and the
“Untold Truth” web series, an
hour-long documentary-style web
show that spotlights popular battle
rappers.
Honorable Mention
An honorable mention for this
month’s not hot is “Daylyt vs. 40
B.A.R.R.S”, the second-ever intergender battle hosted by Queen
of the Ring and the first-ever
3-round intergender battle from
the all-female battle league. This
was a great back-and-forth battle,
until we got to Daylyt’s third
round and he exposed himself
by whipping out his penis. This
is a rap battle, not a rap porn —
unless I’ve missed something.
Not hot!
I don’t make this up; I just report it.
