“I have no problem accepting anyone, but in order for us to get bigger sponsors who

it, because I can relate to more
folks race-wise and — though
it’s still an issue in our country
— I felt that I brought some
balance to KOTD. Now, folks
can’t play my homies as “white
boys throwing battles” when I’m
actually in a position of power as
a black man. And they embrace
everyone, so really it was just
the outsiders kind of playing the
race card.
Majin: Do you have a dream card?
If so, what would it be?
Aspect OneKotd: Heck no. I
mention some kids’ names and
then they’re going to want 79
thousand dollars. (Aspect laughs)
Majin: Fair enough. So how do you
keep it fresh? It seems you have
great marketing.

Aspect OneKotd: We constantly
look for new talent and really all
speak together about our events.
We talk about each other’s
progress and also weak points
to consistently improve upon,
as a staff and company. We all
stress out about certain things,
so we collectively keep each
other accountable for things
and it makes life easy, without
too much bickering. We keep
the focus as opposed to wasting
time.

Majin: What are some of your
most memorable battles you’ve
seen? Got a list?
Aspect OneKotd: I never give
the haters light, haha.. Shout
out to KOTD, my 2000 NOW
team, 100 Bars Magazine, Swans
and everyone who supports the
culture!
Aspect OneKotd: I would say,
in no particular order: “Franco
vs Capitol Hill”, “Rum Nitty
vs Danny Myers”, “Chilla
Deadman vs Ayem, ALL KINDS
OF SHIT...I ca n go on forever,
but yea, I’ve seen numerous
battles all that had a particular
significance in my eyes.
Majin: That’s what’s up. Any note

Any issues or shoutouts?
