a full grasp of my journey and
the improvement I have made in
my craft.
Novie Blendz: Yes sir, that’s a fact.
There is still a lot of room to
continue to grow.
Nuff Said: Always — for any
battler. I do a lot of other things
as well, so battling is just a part
of me and I put a lot of time
into it.
Novie Blendz: What battle have
you had thus far where you felt
that you absolutely stepped your
pen game up and went in with
your performance?
Nuff Said: That’s tough. I would
say me versus Billie Dutchess, as
far as bars. As far as performance
and bars, I would have to say
me versus Greedy Grimes or me
versus Born.
Novie Blendz: What’s one battle
that you’ve had that you felt you
could’ve done better?
Nuff Said: Me versus Homi;
but I’m never complacent. I
have to work that much harder,
especially because of who my
brother is. So I feel I could do
better. I want to break away
from Danja’s shadow, where
most people try and keep me.
has been showing me love; and
it was against a rising star, in
Jay Rell. It was cool and exciting
being able to show that I can
compete on the next level. I was
thrown when it was unanimous,
but you can’t win them all.
Earning the respect was good
enough; I’m ready for that next
level. I have the respect of a few
notables.
an interesting matchup with either
of them.
Novie Blendz: Great! You
shouldn’t get discouraged; just
keep learning and don’t hold back.
Now — tying back into “people
keeping you in Danja’s shadow”
— I felt that was one of Jay Rell’s
stronger angles against you.
Nuff Said: Everywhere. Lately,
I haven’t been battling in my
home league. I have been trying
to travel and build my fan
base. I want to go overseas, and
anywhere else that wants Nuff
Said.
Nuff Said: It’s old to me;
everyone takes that angle.
Photographer: Mary Gemski
Novie Blendz: Awesome; does
Nuff Said make music too?
Novie Blendz: How do you feel
about the overuse of that angle?
Do you have a stockpile of
rebuttals waiting?
Nuff Said: I pay it no mind, but
I think I will start addressing it
for the next few opponents that I
feel might take the angle.
Novie Blendz: That would be
interesting to see. Who’s next on
your list that you’d like to battle?
Novie Blendz: Recently, you’ve
had a Moshpit battle versus Jay
Rell, via BattleScene.net. How was
that experience?
Nuff Said: I was hunting Danny
Myers and Ah Di Boom, but at
this point I don’t have anyone
in mind. I’m just making my
way and fighting until that shot
comes.
Nuff Said: That was different,
since it was over the phone. It
was cool though. BattleScene.net
Novie Blendz: Honestly, battling
either of them would be a good
look. I think it would definitely be
Nuff Said: I think so as well.
I’m a problem that nobody can
overlook.
Novie Blendz: In terms of
traveling; what places, both
domestic and abroad, would you
like to battle?
Nuff Said: Yeah. I haven’t been in
the booth in a while and battling
is very time-consuming. I am
involved in a lot of other things
as well, so it’s hard to find time.
Novie Blendz: So what other
projects and things are you
working on?
Nuff Said: Well fatherhood for
one, and I’m currently working
on my masters degree. Those two
alone take a lot of time.
Novie Blendz: True! That’ 0
